AI Framework Introduction

The new AI channel and related services were introduced with the release of Vik Channel Manager 1.9.0 and VikBooking 1.17.0 (Joomla), 1.7.0 (WordPress). In order to be able to properly utilize the AI tools, you should always make sure to be using our latest plugin versions. On top of that, the dedicated AI channel must be enabled for your E4jConnect subscription. It's a service that can be purchased when placing a subscription on this website.

Before starting, please keep in mind that all the operations documented are performed through artificial intelligence, which is an experimental technology, and as such, results may occasionally be incorrect or misleading. E4jConnect cannot be retained responsible for the so called "AI hallucinations".

Introduction

The E4jConnect AI functionalities are powered by OpenAI - ChatGPT. In order to be able to perform any operation through artificial intelligence, your Channel Manager requires an active "AI Wallet", which is managed by E4jConnect.

The dedicated AI channel should be enabled in your Channel Manager, and it's available for subscription on this website, just like any other existing channel, such as Airbnb, Booking.com, Expedia etc..

By subscribing for the AI channel, and by activating it on your Channel Manager, your website will be automatically assigned to a dedicated AI model, which is pre-trained by E4jConnect in order to be able to exchange and process data with your own VikBooking installation. This brings the E4jConnect AI services to a different level, by mixing up the power of generative AI with your own PMS, VikBooking.

Lastly, every operation powered by Artificial Intelligence consists in an "AI transaction", which is nothing but an API request performed by E4jConnect towards OpenAI (ChatGPT). For every AI transaction comes a fee, which is charged by OpenAI to E4jConnect, and is fully covered by your AI Wallet. As long as your AI Wallet will have enough credit, and as long as the AI channel subscription is not expired, all of your AI transactions will represent no costs for your company.

Once the AI Wallet expiration date is reached, or when the credit of your AI Wallet runs out, every AI transaction will fail with a specific error message displayed on the back-end interface of your website. By placing a new subscription for the AI channel, you will be able to renew your AI Wallet by adding new credit and by setting a new expiration date.

The higher the number of listings for your AI channel subscription is, the more the credit for your AI Wallet will be. This is automatically calculated by E4jConnect, and your digital wallet does not have a balance that can be monitored to see the total AI transaction fees. This is because the AI transaction fees are fully covered by E4jConnect.
