Eligible listings are automatically enrolled in the program. Currently, the following types of listings are eligible for the Expanded Distribution Network are: listings offering online booking, online payments and are in good marketplace standing.

Commission: commission on the Expanded Distribution Network is charged at the same rate as Vrbo.

Vrbo will only charge a commission of 5% (NORAM), 12 to 15% (EMEA & APAC) exc. VAT per booking. The commission due is invoiced the month following the stay on the credit card used during the activation.

Payment collected by You

As Vrbo is not merchant of record, Vrbo will send the traveler's credit card details to the Property Manager who will be able to debit it with his own payment processor.

What are the Property Manager requirements to onboard on Vrbo?

Tax Identifier

PM must provide for EU (Vat or Tax Identifier), UK (VAT or Tax Identifier), Australia (ABN number), New- Zealand (NZBN Number) and Canada (GST or QST or Tax Identifier).

Minimum Listings

The property manager must activate at least 1 property/listing on the Channel Manager. The activation cannot be done without any listing set up on the e4jConnect Channel Manager.

Channel Set Up

The PM should be fully onboarded by using the Channel Manager. All information for the listings should be complete: rates, availabilities, descriptions, titles, pictures...

Enable Distribution

Vrbo should be enable for distribution and all listings be activated for the Vrbo channel prior to starting the self-service onboarding.

Payment Method

Vrbo is not Merchant of Record. The PM must have their payment method set up prior to starting onboarding (payment processor or invoice payment).

Credit Card

The PM must have a credit card for the onboarding activation. Nothing will be debit during the activation process. CC will be used for the payment of future commissions.

What's needed to start using the service?

All you need is the Booking Engine, the Channel Manager, and an active e4jConnect subscription for the desired channels.

Please note that our "Vik" plugins require you to have a working website built with WordPress or Joomla.
