FAQ
Our booking engine + channel manager solution was developed for single properties, or with multiple properties with a unique manager. Our plugins are not suited to build portals for multiple vendors like Booking.com or Expedia, or any other similar OTA.
In order to start working with the channel manager you need to have an active subscription with the e4jConnect service. Without it Vik Channel Manager can’t work.
You can simulate the final costs of the subscriptions by adding to the cart the desired channels from the link: https://e4jconnect.com/subscribe-e4jconnect-service
No, one API key is technically related to one single website (built with either Joomla or WordPress), where the plugins "Vik Booking" and "Vik Channel Manager" are installed. You should never use the same API key on more than one website, or you will overwrite the previous settings, and the new bookings will no longer be delivered to the previous sites.
Moreover, one login/account on this website at https://e4jconnect.com can only obtain or renew one API key. For this reason, if you need to set up multiple websites with "Vik Booking" and "Vik Channel Manager", then you will need to create one login/account on this website for each site. This way, each login/account will get its own API key that you will be able to use on the dedicated website to activate and configure all channels.
If a login/account on this website has already obtained one API key from a previous subscription order, then by making a new order the same existing API key will be renewed. A new API key is generated for new accounts only, at their first subscription order. That's why we suggest creating a new account here if you need to configure a new website with a new API key for the Channel Manager.
